PEORIA, Ill. - High school athletes signed college scholarship letters on Wednesday, the first day of the 2018 spring signing period.
Bloomington senior Brooke Misukonis, the state runner-up in the pole vault, signed with Murray State.
And Eureka's Hayley Coffman became the first female golfer in school history to sign a National Letter of Intent. She'll play for Quincy University.
Along side Misukonis, Bloomington seniors made college commitments at an afternoon ceremony.
Bailey McGill (Grand Valley State) and Austin Bicknell (Millikin) will also compete in college track.
James Ellis (Benedictine football and track), Ryan Flynn (Hope College soccer), Brian Jome (Dubuque soccer), Alex Otto (Blackhawks College golf), Jackson Sutton (Roosevelt University golf), Tess Maubach (Anderson University swimming), Chanse Ridgeway (Cornell wrestling), Olivia falls (Eureka College basketball), Nick Hall (Eureka College baseball) and Megan Varney (St. Francis bowling) also made their college commitments Wednesday.
