The Morton girls basketball program earned “dynasty” status after earning its third consecutive Class 3A state championship, 44-37 over Rochester.
Lady Potters senior Brandi Bisping led the way with 17 points and 11 rebounds, and sophomore Tenley Dowell added 12. As a team, Morton shot 14-of-27 (52 percent) from beyond the 3-point arc in two games in these state finals.
With five made free throws Saturday, Bisping became the all-time record holder with 57 points from the foul line in her six career games at the state finals.
