PEORIA, Ill. — It’s back to normal for the Peoria High Lions.
Wednesday’s football practice was somewhat ordinary. Tuesday, former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning made a surprise visit to the Lions’ football practice a as a representative of Riddell Sports, the company which named Peoria High its “team of the future” this summer.
Riddell is outfitting the Lions with new helmets, shoulder pads and other equipment this season. But the players and coaches may remember the Manning visit as the biggest takeaway from an amazing summer.
