Alex Tanney is glad to be home but it won’t be for long.
The Tennessee Titans quarterback will host is annual Tanney Passing Academy clinic on Feb. 18 in Bloomington. It will be the former Lexington High School star’s seventh winter camp for young players.
“We’ve done it for so long that we’re seeing kids that we’ve worked with for four or five years,” Tanney said. “It’s fun to see them not only improve on the field but improve physically. You can kinds see them grow up and mature. It’s fun to keep track of those guys when I’m down in Nashville. And follow them throughout the fall.”
The Tanney Passing Academy one-day clinic is Feb. 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Game Time Gym in Bloomington. For more information log on to www.tanneypassingacademy.com.
Tanney broke his foot during the preseason and spent the year on the Titans’ injured reserve list. But he is now cleared for football activities and will be ready for Tennessee’s offseason team practices in March.
