Pints for Prostate

WMBD This Morning

Our vision is to create a men’s health awareness event that grows over time to the size of Race For A Cure.

Pints for Prostates: September 15th, 1-3 p.m. @ ufs, 1800 SW Adams St. Peoria, IL
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer and the second leading cause of cancer death among men in the United States, but it doesn’t have to be. Prostate cancer is one of the most treatable cancers if it is caught early. Men 55 and older should talk to their doctor about whether prostate cancer screening is right for them.

For every 1,000 men between the ages of 55 and 69 years old who are screened, about 1 death will be prevented, and 3 men will be prevented from getting prostate cancer that spreads to other places in the body (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).

Many men with prostate cancer never experience symptoms and, without screening, would never know they had the disease (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).

Join us for a cold one – rain or shine – on September 15th, 1-3 p.m. at ufs for the 1st annual Pints for Prostates. A $20 donation toward local prostate cancer research includes two pints of beer and a collector pint glass. Live music, whisky tastings featuring Gentleman’s Jack and food from Pottstown Meat & Deli will also be present. Purchase your ticket in advance online at
Proceeds from the event benefit Illinois CancerCare Foundation & the Pints for Prostates organization
